Lehigh Country Club is seeking a highly organized anddetail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team. This position will bedirectly responsible for the successful purchasing and inventory management offood, beverages, and supplies for various locations including the HalfwayHouse, Snack Bar, and kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing:
Responsible for all food, beverage, and related supply purchasing.Obtain price quotes, maintain stock pars, and ensure specifications are met.Adhere to pricing and availability guidelines, ordering appropriate amounts of stock.
Receiving & Inventory:
Inspect and verify incoming items, ensuring proper weight, quality, and freshness.Resolve discrepancies with suppliers and maintain accurate inventory records.Perform monthly physical inventories and update inventory sheets.
Storage & Organization:
Ensure proper storage of goods, maintaining cleanliness and order in all storage areas.Follow the First In, First Out (FIFO) method to rotate stock.
Event Support & Miscellaneous:
Support special events by ensuring adequate supplies and assisting the kitchen team.Maintain order in the china and glass storage room, supervising quarterly inventories.Assist with monthly food inventory, and provide necessary information to the accounting office.
Competencies and qualifications:
