SALARY RANGE: $70,338.00 - $112,807.00 USD Annually

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks (BCRP) is seeking a dependable, goal-oriented, and qualified individual to fill our contractual Training and Development Coordinator position within the Human Resources division. Under the direction of the department's Chief of Human Resources, this position is responsible for implementing training programs that measure program effectiveness and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement.

This position requires frequent communication with managers for training concepts to identify staff training requirements and development requests across the agency. BCRP has approximately 1000 employees that serve the citizens of Baltimore City.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate an ongoing assessment tool to identify areas that require training and close training gaps at all levels within the agency.Devise training plans and produce training materials as needed to develop/expand the agency's training program.Prepare an annual training calendar for each bureau, track, and create reports on outcomes of all trainings and maintain training records for the agency.Schedule and facilitate various trainings such as new employee orientation, customer service, and other trainings for the agency's culture, policies, and procedures.Market agency training opportunities to employees and provide information on benefits to encourage participation and collect feedback to perform a thorough evaluation of the training efforts.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Have a bachelor's degree in business, Organizational Development, Education or related Business Management related field from an accredited college or university.

OR

NOTES(EQUIVALENCIES):

Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Instructional experience in a group business setting preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge about learning management systems, instructional design, and e-learning platformsKnowledge of policies and procedures for the presentation of information.Knowledge of guidelines and requirementsAbility to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.Ability to develop training curriculum.Ability to multitask, assess, and analyze data.Skills in delivering instructor-led training.
