Job SummaryThe Trading Systems Administrator role within KeyBanc Capital Markets is a strong individual contributor role primarily responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations with the Capital Market's trading businesses. This role requires an individual with a strong sense of accountability and expertise to ensure that front office trading systems, trade execution and data systems, and customer and counterparty connectivity are properly implemented and maintained, and post trade reporting, settlement, clearance and regulatory issues are resolved in a timely manner. The individual must partner with internal constituents across many functions; Trade Desk management and traders, Compliance, Back Office Operations, Risk Management, along with building and maintaining strong partnerships with the bank's third-party vendor(s).
ResponsibilitiesMaintain high level trading system administration and support for Equities and Fixed Income platforms and networksTroubleshoot and resolve pre-trade, trade and post trade system, clearance and regulatory reporting issues that may ariseIntegrate new trading systems and networks into the existing Capital Markets technology environmentHelp onboard customers and counterparties onto trading platforms andWork closely with KBCM Compliance, Back Office Operations, Finance, and Risk Management teams and external vendors to ensure best practices are adhered toParticipate in project testing plans and test scripts; facilitate client acceptance testingAssist with attracting and developing a quality workforce, i.e., college recruiting activities.Demonstrate the Key Values: Teamwork, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, and Leadership.Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without noticeComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
Education QualificationsBachelor's Undergraduate Degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Economics, MIS, CIS, etc.) (required)Basic knowledge of brokerage industry (preferred)
Experience QualificationsFINRA Series 57, 99 (within six months of employment) (required)Analytical mindset - comfortable in working with different technology platforms (required)Strong team player with a positive can-do attitude and desire to be part of a close-knit group operating in an intensive and challenging work environment (required)Knowledge of onboarding customers and counterparties onto trading platforms and integrating new trading systems into the existing environment (required)Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability (required)1-3 years of user application support within a financial institution required, 3-5 years of experience preferred (required)
