Manager, Project Management and Construction
to support
Transmission
located in
Hooksett, NH
. You will be responsible for all aspects of the construction field management and construction inspection process of projects for transmission lines, substations and complex distribution projects in New Hampshire. Will manage a team of Transmission Construction Supervisors and Representatives. Will work with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Contract Administration, other Transmission Group managers, Control Center, Legal, Purchasing, and field staff to ensure the safe and timely completion of work meeting Eversource's quality standards. Will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental programs, policies, rules, and regulations; will direct safety awareness and compliance initiatives within the department; and be responsible for monitoring the safety and environmental performance of contractors
Essential Functions:
Manages the performance of all aspects of construction field management activities for Transmission Lines, Substation and Complex Distribution projects where contractor resources are utilized.
Works effectively with Project Managers, Engineering, Scheduling, Contract Administration, other transmission business managers, Control Center, Legal, Purchasing and field staff to provide support using contractor resources to ensure the safe and timely completion of work meeting Eversource’s quality standards.
Selects and oversees development of Construction Representative staff. Develops a mindset of ownership and employee accountability for outcomes and consistent level of productivity and quality of work.
Responsible for managing all aspects of the construction phase of projects relative to cost, productivity, schedule, best practices, and Eversource Policies and Procedures.
Responsible to act as Construction Manager on key high risk/highly complex projects. Will be responsible for executive level status report out for these assigned projects.
Ensures compliance with environmental programs, policies, rules and regulations.
Directs efforts to achieve world-class excellence regarding safe work practices and safety performance.
Promotes teamwork among and between all members of the Transmission and Distribution organizations in his/her jurisdiction and other internal groups.
Drives innovation and change in business processes
Provides support to the organization in the Director’s absence
Represents Director at department, customer, and community meetings
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Detailed knowledge of transmission construction
Requires extensive knowledge of electric transmission and distribution systems, operations and construction.
Requires knowledge of the construction industry and construction projects.
Requires knowledge of federal, state and local laws regarding safety, construction and industrial regulations including internal work practices and procedures.
Must have good human resource management and business planning skills
Must have a working knowledge of information technology and the use of Eversource's office automation and information systems including Microsoft Office applications and other systems for analysis and reporting.
Must have good written and oral communications ability.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, related discipline, or equivalent experience
MS in Engineering or MBA preferred
Experience
:
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience, including a minimum of five (5) years managing or supervising groups in transmission or distribution or related activities or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in working with construction contractors and managing large projects
Compensation and Benefits:
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The salary range for this position starts at $150,000 to $166,540 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for a fill list ofbenefits.
Licenses & Certifications:
Must hold a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
Project Management Profession (PMP) desirable
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
Work is performed primarily in an office environment which requires sitting, standing and general movement throughout the office area. This will require visiting multiple locations on a frequent basis. Attends to problems off-hours and for extended periods.
