JOB SUMMARY:

The Vice President, Sourcing & Procurement for Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) will report to the UDX finance team and is responsible for the development, strategic leadership, and execution of the long-range Plan (LRP) for sourcing efforts related to the long-term sustainability and strategic plan for UDX and its divisions. This role will lead a dynamic procurement team located in different regions and support commodity profiles in the parks sourcing categories. This role will work collaboratively with the sourcing leaders in Comcast and NBCUniversal to drive synergies and implement strategies and corporate initiatives while developing and building key relationships across parks and corporate business units. The primary categories under this sourcing leader will be Technology, Facilities, and Construction.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads UDX’s sourcing and procurement organization and manage budget for this area (can vary in amount).

Serve as a subject matter expert and lead category strategy, develop, and execution for categories tied to the sourcing and procurement function.

Lead and drive change management activities related to the implementation of overall strategy including applying structured approach and methodology for change efforts, building relationships including regular check-ins with key operating partners from various divisions globally, develops change management and project plans to address communication and training needs, and identifies resistance and performance gaps and work to develop and implement corrective actions.

Lead and drive meetings and negotiations with strategic sources of supply and ensure business partners internal and external are engaged with critical supply issues and operating conditions on a global level.

Identifies long term sourcing strategy for UDX services and related commodity groups that can be used nationwide. Also Identifies critical long-term issues that could affect the planning and decision-making process.

Facilitate an approach to process improvement and cost optimization efforts that leverage principles like Six Sigma, lean Kaizen and other utilizing tools and approaches like value stream mapping and data analytic tools.

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is preferred.

Master’s degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 12+ years of progressive strategic sourcing/procurement experience

Minimum 5+ years of people management including effectively leading teams through organizational change management and other strategic initiatives

Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and partner with senior executives and peers across a highly matrixed, fast-paced, innovative, and highly energetic corporate culture.

Construction and facilities sourcing experience, including principles, methods and practices related to strategic sourcing, and complex negotiations; a proven track record of high value, complex deal-making success with sole source vendors.

Experience in complex, global industries/markets with a strong customer centric focus.

Demonstrated success in negotiating and contracting strategic initiatives. Successful track record leading complex negotiations in high stakes situations and managing large budgets.

Direct knowledge of strategies, trends, and approaches in the areas of technology, labor, and indirect material.

A high level of interpersonal and project management skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, critical thinking and problem-solving skills; must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment using change management to coach others.

Advanced in applying job knowledge, business experience and financial understanding to make effective decisions that balance costs, risks, and sustainability.

Excellent oral and written communication skill with the ability to listen, understand and influence; confidence and presence to engage with vendors and senior leadership.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions around identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Six Sigma Black-Belt or Champion or PMP preferred.
