SVP, Performance Marketing

The Wonder Project seeks a Senior Vice President to establish and lead its performance marketing group. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this executive will have the unique opportunity to develop strategies and build out a team to market a new direct to consumer offering. The Wonder Project has over $100 million in initial funding, with investors/partners that include Amazon, Lionsgate, Jason Blum, "The Chosen" creator Dallas Jenkins and UTA.

About the Role

The SVP of performance marketing will build out a team and create strategies for a well-funded startup with a deep roster of executive talent. You will work closely with leaders who hail from Hulu, YouTube and Netflix to develop an audience for a new mission driven media venture that will target a market that is currently underserved and ripe for growth.

The core of this role will be to develop and grow a loyal audience for Wonder Project. As the head of performance marketing, you must have a deep understanding of content marketing. You know what drives consumer decisions in digital media consumption, and have a track record of success in this highly competitive space. You will develop and lead performance marketing, CRM, product marketing, and data/analytics for our consumer offering. Not only are you a skilled marketer who can build a roadmap that will achieve rapid growth, but you are also a leader who manages with kindness and respect. You understand that successful teams operate with clear communication, clear direction and innovative thinking. You are experienced in establishing best practices for creating a high-performing, effective team.

Responsibilities

Drive customer acquisition, grow market share and establish branding for Wonder Project's consumer offeringWork with the executive team to build out the short and long term strategic marketing plans, including KPIs, goals and objectives that define, track and measure successHire, manage and mentor marketers and agencies that will execute the plans and deliver on ambitious goalsEstablish and manage budgets, working closely with business development and finance to balance fiscal responsibility while achieving high growthDevelop and execute the go-to-market plan for launch, year one and beyondBuild and oversee performance marketing and subscriber acquisition, including all media spend, SEO/SEM and ROI analysis. Work with the finance/business analysis team to develop, refine and maintain a comprehensive subscriber acquisition model, including LTV, CAC, TAM penetration and seasonality with sensitivity/scenario analysesBuild and oversee CRM and product marketing, including creating and implementing CRM and product marketing strategies, messaging and brandingDevelop brand awareness through paid and organic channels. Oversee creative branding and original/licensed content marketing efforts for streaming serviceManage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and with all agencies, consultants and vendorsRequirements

12-15+ years of marketing leadership experience with at least 5 years of digital marketing leadershipDeep understanding of DTC entertainment, content marketing, media and/or subscription marketingExperience leading and inspiring marketing teams, with strong experience in performance/growth marketing leadership requiredStrong analytical and financial skills with experience overseeing and delivering on substantial budgets. Experience implementing and managing analytics platforms/software packagesExceptional communication skills, both on a business level, and in the ability to understand how best to communicate with consumersAbility to prioritize, project manage, organize and deliver on timelines, goals and objectivesExperience working with and managing external vendors, agencies and creative talentCreative thinker with leadership experience in audience development, social media and/or brandingRespect and understanding of the the Wonder Project audienceProven ability to grow audiences and revenueExperience building teams and working in a high-growth environment

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $325,000 - $425,000

Equity participation in management option pool (Series A company)
