This person is responsible for diving deep into a client's business, challenges and opportunities.The Strategist will interrogate the business challenge, help develop provocative insights and contribute to agency briefings to drive Never Finished creative that acts as an economic multiplier to clients' businesses. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that ideas are executed leveraging channel-specific best practices that drive the client's success.CRITICAL SKILLSPrimary & Secondary Research:
Leads primary and secondary research, including designing and running primary research studies, conducting competitive analyses, reviewing syndicated research and data and analyzing results.Business Strategy:
Commands a sophisticated understanding of the client's business, including the strategic landscape, products/solutions and target audience(s).Creative Strategy:
Contributes and unearths unique insights that can fuel creative briefs, inspire ideas and influence audiences.Communications Planning:
Stays up-to-date on channel-specific best practices as are relevant to their account, to ensure creative is high performing and achieves agreed upon KPIs. Going further, has a vision for the how the channel ecosystem surrounding a creative idea helps it change the audience's journey and behavior to benefit the client's business. Ensures that the creative within the campaign ecosystem is properly orchestrated for maximum impact.Marketing Effectiveness:
Understands measurement and reporting methodologies, maintains results of client initiatives and analyzes results to inform reports and future campaign updates.
RESPONSIBILITIESClient Relationship:
Supports the agency's relationship with the client through proactive insights and observations that add business value and helps to grow the client's business.Presentation & Communication:
Contributes in writing decks and presentations that presents strategic thinking in a persuasive and compelling way.Team Dynamics:
Highly collaborative and willingly teaches fellow team members about topics that help them drive their individual work forward. Shares feedback with fellow team members, regardless of level, to raise their strategic and professional excellence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably on the agency sideStrong writing skills and an eye for detailStrong communication skills within the strategy team and across departments (AM, PM, Creative)Comfort with Project management skills (working independently at times)Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
The Office Requirements:
The New York City Pay Transparency Law requires employers in New York City to disclose the following information. The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $85,000 . Actual salaries will vary and be based on various factors including but not limited to budgetary and market consideration, as well as an applicant's background experience, pertinent/specialty experience, qualifications, and tenure in role/similar role.FCB has adopted a hybrid working environment. It is required for employees to be in office Tuesday-Thursday and can work from home Monday and Friday.
