Job Description:
The Quality Manager will lead the quality assurance and control efforts within our manufacturing facility. This roll is critical in ensuring that our products meet high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. The Quality Manager will oversee quality initiatives, manage a team of quality assurance professionals, and collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot quality issues.
Essential Functions:
Main point of contact with customers, regulatory, and government agencies on all related quality issues and audits
Responsible for managing and delegating responsibilities for all quality department personnel
Coach, mentor and develop Quality Department staff
Maintain and update the Quality Manual
Responsible for maintaining compliance with AS9100
Help drive continuous improvement using the RCCA process
Investigate customer quality concerns and communicate any necessary corrective actions
Work directly with production to ensure all parts meet customer specifications
Manage Quality Audits, external and internal
Create and manage processes that ensure the company product/service quality standards are met
Perform visual and dimensional inspection of various mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerances including first article inspections
Communicate nonconformance issues to customers and work to resolve them
Qualifications:
5-10 years' experience in a quality related function
Experience with Root Cause analysis, investigation and implementation
Lean Six Sigma experience preferred
Proficiency in procedural and policy auditing, development and implementation
Ability to read and interpret customer drawings (blueprints), bills of materials, and parts lists
Training as AS9100 Lead Auditor preferred
Experience with precision machining and CMM programming preferred
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and or NADCAP quality programs
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
