Cigna Individual & Family Plans (IFP) IT Team is seeking a highly motivated experienced Architecture Senior Advisor who can deliver value for the business through their deep understanding of the business functions, Gain quick understanding of existing systems and technology landscape and with ability to influence others, both within and across functions in the Govt. Business Segment, foster innovation, and propel our agile transformation.
Job Responsibilities:
· Ensure that IT solutions align to defined business strategies and use influence to ensure execution meets long term objectives, architecture runway, and market needs.
· Manage the relationship with IT, Business and Operations partners at all levels, within all the organizations.
· Operate within an economic framework when analyzing the impact of design decisions.
· Work with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to establish high-level solution intent, and the solution intent information models and documentation requirements.
· Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of the solution and exploration of solution alternatives
· Review end to end design by delivery team and provide guidance with accountability.
· Provide reference implementation on new solution, patterns and technology products.
· Ensure high quality solution with best security measures and cost, performance and operational efficiency in mind.
· Participate in Solution Demos, often demonstrating the capabilities that their Release Trains have contributed to the overall solution
· Align technology approaches across Release Trains
· Foster communication and collaboration between Agile teams within the Release Train and all appropriate stakeholders.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree required
· Strong technical background with a core competency in software development and architecture is desired.
· Overall 15+ years of experience related to IT delivery or software development.
· 5+ years of experience in technical/solution IT architecture.
· AWS Certified Solution Architect preferred.
· Broad knowledge of current technology trends and design patterns.
· Proven experience in building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including senior level executive sponsors
· Experience in defining strategic roadmaps and establishing priorities, with experience in managing competing needs of multiple stakeholders
· Executive presence, communication skills
· Ability to influence leaders, drive change and transformation while working across all levels of the organization
· Strong Knowledge of Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, utilizing CA Agile Central/Rally or a similar tool
· Hands on experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, Features, Capabilities and Epics development and refinement, Continuous Integration, Behavior Drive Development (BDD) test automation framework, Continuous Deployments, Regression Testing, Pair Programming, Burn Down Metrics, Velocity, etc.
· Executive presence, communication skills
· Hands on experience with software development processes and procedures to understand team needs includes fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
· Solid conceptual understanding of technology components, DevOps tools and practices
