Provide analytical and programming support for software security products, components, or applications that detect vulnerability exploitation in both customer and public software ecosystems. Identify and analyze details and artifacts of techniques used by malicious actors to compromise Microsoft software. Develop software that can automatically detect and analyze classes of attacks. Develop software that serves as an alarm system, responds to persistent threats and broad attacks. Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure, and mitigate computer security breaches and viruses. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent in Business Intelligence; Information Systems; Risk Management; Business Operations; Data Analytics; Computer Science; Computer Engineering; Electrical Engineering; or computer-related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept an additional 24 months of identifying security vulnerabilities, software development lifecycle, large-scale computing or cyber security..Experience: 24 months of identifying security vulnerabilities, software development lifecycle, large-scale computing or cyber security.
Specific Skills: Education or experience in Vulnerability Research and Exploitation; Windows Hyper-V; Assembly; System Programming; and C.
Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (V8926185), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $217,010 to $247,010 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.?
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
