Our Team:
We have an exciting leadership opportunity to join the Electric Training Test Lab Team. This supervisory position covers the supervision of union employees and process for the rubber goods test lab in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
In this critical role, you will plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities associated with the Electric Di-electric Rubber Good Test Lab including testing, maintenance, and replacement of rubber gloves, sleeves, blankets, and associated equipment owned by Eversource.
The role is based in Plymouth, MA or Berlin, CT
.
Essential Functions:
Provides supervision, communication, and direction for the respective area workforce.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates work assignments related to testing, maintenance, and replacement of rubber gloves, sleeves, blankets and associated equipment
Supervises the testing, maintenance, and replacement of rubber goods in accordance with state, federal and industry codes as well as Company standards and policies.
Responsible for standardization of work practices and procedures across the Company.
Develops and implements employee safety programs and monitors employee and contractor work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Conducts technical OJT and Vendor training programs for field personnel.
Administers the agreement between the Company and the Union
Implements and administers approved policies, procedures, and standards for electric equipment testing, repairs, maintenance, and retirements for Electric Di-electric Rubber Good.
Evaluates new equipment and concepts, performs cost benefit studies and makes recommendations for consequent action.
Provides coordination and execution of large-scale projects and requests.
Acts as the site Environmental Coordinator for the Electric Di-electric Rubber Good Test Labs.
Will have storm restoration and emergency assignments.
Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience
Experience
:
5+ years of related electrical or test experience is required, Supervisory experience is preferred.
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT labs as necessary.
Licenses & Certifications
:
Valid driver’s license required.
Knowledge of OHSA regulations
Compensation and Benefits:
Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position starts at $120,070.00 to $133,410.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
