This is a remote position and the applicant can be located anywhere in the Western U.S.

Sales Executive Position Summary

The Sales Executive is responsible for researching and executing an effective sale and marketing strategy within assigned geographical area, customer base, and/or market niche, to include developing competitive analysis, market research with plan execution and evaluation.

Sales Executive Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales responsibility for active and new accounts which included fabrication and erection of large building projects.Develop and support customer relationships in the Western Region. (Upper Midwest to West Coast.)Provide customer interface through phone, email, text, videoconference and in-person visits to foster regular inquiries and obtain preference at bid time.Interface with Prospect's Estimating Department in Little Rock, Kansas City and Detroit to coordinate proposals and post-bid responses through close.Screen inquiries, determine bid/no bid and respond to the customer promptly.Understand the requirements of all jobs bidding and complete internal Prebid Form to kick off the estimate.Review proposals before they go out and provide edits as needed.Submit proposals and follow up with the client.Solicit bids for erection, joists, deck and miscellaneous metals.Provide preconstruction support through turnover to Project Management for a smooth transition.Follow up with customers for job satisfaction by visiting jobsites and making office visits.Stay current with market intelligence regarding opportunities within the market to stay ahead of building trends.Leverage all the assets of Lexicon to provide maximum value to the customer.Sales Executive Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of five years' sales experience in a structural steel environment.Bachelor's degree in business or other related field.Must have a solid track record with owners, general contractors, and/or erectors.Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment where prompt customer response is critical.Must be able to work independently and have a proven track record in sales.Must have excellent oral/written communications skills.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Excel.Sales Executive Physical Demands

Estimated travel is 2-3 weeks per month and usually 2-3 nights per trip.Must have a professional appearanceAll the physical demands listed are essential functions.Benefits
