Hillel International is seeking an exceptional writer and digital content creator with a strong background in Jewish and Israeli history to serve as the Digital Content Manager for Campus for All, a website and digital content platform powered by Hillel International that provides resources for Jewish college students to understand and take action to address antisemitism on campus, and separate fact from fiction about Israel.
The Digital Content Manager will be responsible for creating and curating the latest content on a daily basis for the Campus4All.org website, including written pieces, videos, social media carousels, and native and embedded infographics. Qualified candidates will have a very strong background in digital content creation and storytelling, excellent writing skills, and high-level visual/graphic design abilities. Top candidates will also have deep knowledge about Jewish and Israeli history, and how that history impacts events in the Middle East and on college campuses today.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Hillel International and is fully remote for candidates based and authorized to work in the United States: We're seeking the best, most qualified candidate no matter where they're based.What You'll Bring to the Position4+ years of work experience, with a background in digital communications, media, and/or journalismSuperior written communication skills; must be a highly skilled writer and editor across all formatsExpertise in visual and multimedia storytelling on digital platforms, including original content creation through images, video, infographics, and timelinesStrong awareness of current events and news judgment; must be knowledgeable about the latest events on college campuses and in the Middle EastDeep knowledge of Jewish history, and specifically the history of the Jewish people in IsraelStrong organizational, planning, and project management skills; must be detail-orientedGraphic design experience using Canva, the Adobe Suite, and/or similar softwarePassion for entrepreneurship, and pioneering and growing new projectsInsatiable intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn, grow, and develop new skillsConnection to Jewish life and/or HillelWhat You'll OwnCreate original written, visual, social media-style, and native content for the Campus for All website, Campus4All.org. Immersive written and video content showcasing different ways that Jewish students can take action against antisemitism on campusInstagram-style carousels about how non-Jewish students can show support for Jewish college studentsWritten questions and answers that address frequent information and misinformation about IsraelImage gallery of December "Shine-a-Light" programs to counter antisemitism from around the world
Manage and work closely with the website front-end design vendor to create new interactive infographics and related content for the websiteCollaborate closely with the Israel Action and Addressing Antisemitism Program (IAP) and Center for Jewish and Israel Education (CJIE) departments to curate and adapt existing Hillel educational content for use on the websiteEnsure all aspects of the Campus for All website are up-to-date on a daily basis as news changes on college campuses and in the Middle EastCurate leading media sources and digital influencers about the topic of antisemitism on campus, and highlight on Campus for All websiteWork closely with colleagues in communications and social media to drive traffic to the Campus for All website, and promote new features and content to both student and community audiencesCollaborate closely on content with students who participate in the Digital Content Creators Forum, the signature program of Hillel International's Israel Leadership NetworkTrack and share analytics and key performance metrics to identify trends in site traffic, content usage, entry sources, and other visitor behaviorWhat You'll ReceiveThe salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 per year.Benefits and vacation time, include:
