Oversees daily functions of perspective branch. Provides guidance and leadership to both field inspection and laboratory staff on routine matters. Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure that all daily operations and laboratory functions relating to their specific locations are run efficiently within the allocated resources. Responsible for the expansion of existing business relationships, the development of new business. Directs branch activities, maintains prescribed security measures and compliance with policies and procedures and applicable regulations.
Minimum Requirements
Requires a B.S./B.A. (preferable science degree) or a minimum of five years' experience in the petroleum industry. Must possess strong communications, managerial and inter-personal skills, as well as technical and theoretical knowledge of operational and/or laboratory related matters. Responsibilities
Responsible for the administrative and executive operation of respective branch. Obtains optimum efficiency and economy of operations. Maximizes profits by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Prepares and complies with branch operating budget. Supervises all personnel assigned to respective branch. Performs or shares dispatching duties during non-working hours, weekends and holidays. See Operations Manager for dispatching requirements. Implements organizational policies and goals. Ensures that all the activities performed by personnel under his/her supervision are coordinated and executed by strict adherence to the quality system working procedures and company policies in order to supply customers with a prompt, unbiased, reliable and accurate analysis and inspection data. Directly markets the company's services to existing and prospective clients. Develops new markets, increases market share, and obtains a competitive position for his/her area by direct marketing efforts or attending industry / business functions. Identifies problems affecting the quality system in respective areas of responsibility. Initiates, recommends, and/or provides solutions to the problems. Verifies implementation of the solutions and their effect in correcting non-conforming situations. Has the authority and responsibility for back filling for an Operations Manager in his/her absence. Fitness for Duty - Physical Demands
This position will be in an office setting, but field work may be required. Ability to occasionally lift up-to-50 pounds, push & pull, reach overhead, stoop & squat, and wear protective equipment if required.
