Senti Biosciences is searching for a full-time Corporate Controller who will manage all aspects of our accounting function. The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing the timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy of the month-end and quarter-end close processes, internal financial reporting to management, as well as the company's financial statements. This role will partner across the organization to improve all touch points required to insure an accurate and timely financial close, and to identify and provide solutions for process challenges. The Controller must possess superior people management skills to develop staff and encourage the team's growth by providing direction in planning, decision-making and continuous process improvement. This position reports to the CFO.
Responsibilites
Provide oversight on accounting operations and financial systemsEnsure financial results are presented consistently, accurately, and meet all compliance standards including US GAAP.Ensure the integrity and accuracy of information provided to the external auditors in relation to the annual audit and quarterly reviewsOversee the preparation and filing of quarterly and annual reports on Forms 10-Q and 10-K, respectively, in accordance with SEC regulations.Oversee the company's equity plans, including the stock option and ESPP programsProvide oversight and integration of outsourced functions, including taxManage other finance-related activities, including general accounting, treasury, and interactions with transfer agent, banks and investment managersEnsure the effectiveness of internal controls and integrity of accounting records and resulting financial statements, working to establish full compliance with all requirements, including SOX.Collaborate on In-Licensing and Out-LicensingPrepare materials and provide updates for executive management in preparation for audit committee / board of director's meetingsProvide cross-functional support to the Company as needs arise, including special projects, system improvements or ad-hoc financial analysisExperience with Clinical and Manufacturing projection and expense accrualQualifications
Bachelor's degree (preferably with accounting and/or business/management focus)CPA licenseExperience at a Big Four certified public accounting firmPrevious experience in-house at public and private biotech companyStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP reportingUnderstanding of ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 808 with technical memo writing experienceUnderstanding of ASC 805, 815 and 825 (preferred, not required)Strong leadership skills in building a team and focuses on the continuous development and growth of the capabilities and performance of team membersMaintains the highest levels of ethics and integrityStrong collaborator with excellent organizational skillsAbility to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills.Strong knowledge of SEC rules and regulations, procedures and practicesFunctional understanding of ERP systems, Netsuite specific knowledge a plusHybrid schedule>
Salary and Benefits
Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual target bonus and equityThe base salary range for this role is $290,000-$330,000.
