This position is responsible for the successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and completion of projects undertaken by the SMS Oil City plant.

What You'll Do: • Communicates directly with customers from time of quote request to time of delivery of goods and any necessary follow-up; Act as focal point for all communications with customer • Coordinates DIA's (strip and advise) within two-week window • Prepares internal cost estimation and provides customer with and follows up on official quote strip report • Enters sales orders into GSS with accuracy and manages the project to completion, working directly with vendors/contractors/colleagues and customers • Determine and schedule resources needed (i.e. equipment, manpower, tools, work hours, etc.) • Schedules repairs based on scope of work, lead-time, and priority and monitors job progress to ensure deadlines are being met • Works with purchasing to develop potential vendors • Works with Inter-departmental or inter-company contacts concerning proposals • Submits requisitions for purchase through GSS according to project requirements • Schedules shipping of parts/equipment to all necessary locations (to vendors or customer) • Demonstrate ability to successfully meet project objectives and fully understand scope, which is accomplished by involving other SMS group organizations, management, and consortium members and assure work is performed according to the SMS group project management guidelines • Overall responsibility for activities related to scope change negotiations, timely invoicing and project closeout • Identifies and requests setup of inventory items for commonly used parts • Monitor, organize, and communicate the need for customer-supplied inventory • Responsible for job related material and resource planning • Identify, develop, and implement product improvements through use of SMS Technical Services and customer approval • Identify inefficiencies and assist to implement process improvement ideas for continual improvement by utilizing latest industry standards and techniques

What you'll need: • 3-4 years relevant experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment • GSS or other ERP software basic proficiency • Strong written, verbal and computer skills required • Must be able to read engineering drawings and bills of material • Knowledge of current Incoterms for domestic and international shipping • Ability to interact with vendors and customers, as required • Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance • Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies • Demonstrated proficiency in ability to communicate and exercise positive people skills • Candidate must be self-motivated and display strong problem-solving skills • Ability to travel domestically and abroad as project requires
