Description
The Connection Leader is responsible for leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus by ensuring every person who attends our church is easily able to be known and grow in connection with Jesus and with others. This person is tasked with leading and equipping a dynamic team of volunteers who specialize in welcoming, inviting and serving each person who attends a Sunday gathering.

in the life of Cornerstone Fellowship.The Connection Team's Vision is to create an experience for guests, attendees and volunteers, where everyone feels
invited ,
welcomed
and
known .Leadership
Invite, train and support Connection Team volunteers.Be the primary communicator and example setter for the Connection Team's mission, vision and values.Schedule and execute the sacraments of baptism and communion, including the ability to teach the baptism class.Oversee the scheduling of Gospel Lifestyle groups and lead a Gospel Lifestyle group as needed.Take primary ownership in organizing and implementing plans for special events, including but not limited to: Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, or other Sunday experiences.Communication
Regular communication with volunteers to ensure there is clarity on the mission, vision and values of the Connection Team as well as coverage for Sunday gatherings and other special events as needed.Be the primary story collector for Sunday gatherings and communicating those stories to the Area Pastor for vision, encouragement and celebration with our staff and congregation.Strategize and implement an effective new person follow-up process so that new guests feel welcomed and valued.Oversee the process queues for communication with people who express interest in Baptism, Community Groups, Neighborhood Church and Gospel Lifestyle groups.Oversee the regular posting of content on CF Livermore social media platforms, including coordinating with other ministries for content, as well as regularly responding to comments or messages on those social media platforms.Administrative
Process any Connection Cards received at the Welcome Area on a Sunday or through Neighborhood Church.Help ideate and implement different ways for Neighborhood Church host homes to be more welcoming and accommodate those who attend (kids, people with mobility challenges, etc).Oversee the process for receiving physical offerings/contributions on Sundays and ensure the secure transfer of those funds to the Finance Team.Oversee and request updates as needed for all directional signage on the Livermore Campus as well as visual pieces in the Sanctuary.Take a weekly count of each person who attends a Sunday gathering in the Sanctuary.Facilitate the administrative needs of the ministry including: Workplace, Cornerstone Central, orders & purchasing, & Comm Team requests, etc.Work proactively through the budgeting process with the Worship Experience Pastor to set priorities, expectations and scope of ministry budget.Ensure ministry compliance with organizational processes (Cornerstone Central, Finance, HR Policy, etc.).Requirements
Pastoral gifting and experience.Effective and experienced at equipping ministry leaders.A growing, mature Christian who is regularly connected in the life of CF Livermore and a CF Neighborhood Church where growth, support and accountability happens.Leadership gifting & Training experience.Positive attitude, high integrity, excellent communication skills & works well with others.Displays Christ-like behavior, treats others with dignity, respect & compassion.Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills.Is grace-oriented, has a shepherd's heart, a good sense of humor and models humility.Proficient at Microsoft Word, Excel, Cornerstone Central, Portals and Social Networks.
Work hours: 15-20 per week
