Position Summary
:
As a member of the Client and Network Pricing Team you will be responsible for the coordination of drug pricing initiatives aimed at driving efficient pricing to our members. You will be responsible for analyzing, managing and implementing pricing solutions for hundreds of Caremark PBM accounts. To accomplish this, you will work to optimize prices, develop financial forecasts, and track client and pharmacy guarantees by collaborating with various internal business partners. You will collaborate with a team of financial and analytics professionals to analyze and deploy advanced methods. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating Client and Network Pricing efforts
Analyzing and developing accurate and efficient pricing for Caremark account
Spearheading collaboration efforts with client and other team members and departments to solve complex pricing and analytical problems
Presenting network pricing solutions to internal and external partners
Managing client relationship and expectations
Developing a core understanding of drug pricing, network pharmacy performance, and PBM operations
Identifying opportunities for process improvements with cross-functional team
Developing and maintaining analytic work plans
Applying creativity in developing analytic and financial solutions
Building customized reports concentrating on financial and operational performance
Prioritizing competing needs to ensure focus on highest impact activities
Quickly developing knowledge and understanding of new domains and underlying data sources
Your success will be determined by your ability to meet pricing guarantees and targets and delivering on key initiatives around quality. You will be responsible for driving client satisfaction and managing internal and external expectations. You will need to bring a strong analytical mindset to a dynamic environment focusing on solving financial problems.
In this role, you will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, advising and delivering drug pricing results for client and pharmacy agreements. A key focus will be creating pricing strategies to meet our contractual commitments while minimizing risk. As a member of a highly focused, collaborative team, you will be responsible for strategic decisions and managing the process of competitive initiatives instituted to keep current to certain marketplace dynamics and to optimize profitability at a client level.
Required
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience in drug pricing, MAC management or analytics within healthcare
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of PBM strongly preferred
Strong mathematical skills to collect, measure, organize and analyze data
Proficiency in data-based programming language and pulling data (SQL, Access, SAS, R, Python, GCP etc.)
Excellent communication skills with ability to work with the highest levels of the internal and client team
Solid analytical, financial & data modeling skills
Experience analyzing to assess quality and meaning of data
Preparing reports stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
Ability to work in matrixed environment
Outstanding financial acumen and ability to understand highly complex financial guarantee structures
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to construct analytic solutions to business problems
Advanced knowledge of in-depth modeling, forecasting techniques, and optimization methodologies
Experience working on Tableau or other BI tools
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent Combination of education and experience may be considered
Advanced degree in Financial or Quantitative fields preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$60,300.00 - $145,860.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
