ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records for the schoolCompetency in basic accounting methodsObtain quotes and authorization for ordersKey requisitions to place ordersWrite SchoolFunds checksReceipt funds from teachersMake depositsBank reconciliationsMonitor and manage budgets and accountsRequest budget transfer requests as needed to ensure no line items carry negative balancesMonitor status of all outstanding ordersProcess invoices for payment timelyProcess leave requests for all employeesMonitor classified timesheets for accuracyEnsure substitute time is submitted to payroll for processingContact substitutes to cover classes as neededMeet with principal on a regular basis to discuss all financial reports and budgetsMeet all financial deadlinesGood public relation skillsAbility to type and operate office equipmentCompetency in computer skills/operationsAbility to learn, interpret, and explain policies, regulations, programs, and procedures effectivelyAbility to resolve problem situationsAbility to communicate effectively with internal and external individualsOther duties as assignedACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED from regionally or nationally accredited institution requiredAssociate degree in accounting, business or related field preferredThree or more years bookkeeping, accounting, or related experienceThree or more years experience and/or training using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) or Google Sheets/Docs
