Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee transmission line and substation projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility construction, specifically in transmission lines and substations, and the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning : Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for transmission line and substation projects.Project Execution : Coordinate and oversee all phases of project execution, including design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning.Stakeholder Management : Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project.Budget and Cost Control : Manage project budgets, track expenses, and report financial performance regularly. Identify and mitigate cost overruns.Scheduling : Ensure that project milestones are met and coordinate with teams to adjust schedules as needed to accommodate project demands.Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.Safety and Compliance : Ensure that all work complies with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.Quality Assurance : Maintain high standards of project quality and ensure that all deliverables meet or exceed client expectations.Team Leadership : Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, construction crews, and support staff to achieve project goals.Qualifications:Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. PMP certification is preferred.Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in the utility or power transmission sector, with specific experience in transmission lines and substations.Technical Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of transmission line and substation construction, design, and maintenance practices.Project Management Skills : Proven experience managing multiple, large-scale infrastructure projects from start to finish.Software Proficiency : Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and other industry-standard tools.Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.Problem-solving : Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly in high-pressure situations.Travel : Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
