Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Assistant Project Manager.
In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our projects by coordinating closely with Electrical Construction Project Managers. Your expertise in assistant project management, document control, and communication will be crucial as you handle multiple projects, maintain essential logs, and ensure that all project documentation remains accurate and current. This is an in person position, you will be expected to be in the office. Must have Electrical Construction experience.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination: Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure project success. Maintain up-to-date documents, manage RFIs, and keep project logs current (including RFI, submittal, and change order logs). Document Management: Conduct weekly meetings with the Project Manager and Foreman to review project status and address any issues. Ensure RFIs and submittals are accurate and timely. Submittal Production: Prepare and submit detailed submittals per contract documents for General Contractor approval. Review and finalize submittals with suppliers once approved. Communication & Multitasking: Effectively manage multiple projects and communicate with various Project Managers. Handle project-related communications and documentation efficiently. Competencies:

Leadership: Guide and mentor team members while managing project tasks. Strategic Thinking: Plan and execute project tasks with a focus on long-term success. Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise employees in accordance with APIC Solutions' policies and legal requirements. Oversee training, work planning, performance appraisal, and resolution of issues. Verify fixture counts, gear sizes, and manage equipment release schedules. Coordinate with other divisions for successful project hand-offs and performance. Work Scope:
Estimating: Analyze blueprints and bid documents to prepare accurate time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Supplier Management: Maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors; conduct site visits and record necessary information. Project Turnover: Efficiently transfer bid documents and subcontractor information to the Project Manager. Review drawings and project costs, highlighting concerns and key vendors. Subcontractor Award:
Review proposals thoroughly to ensure proper scope and commitment to project timelines. Provide necessary project information to subcontractors and identify new ones as needed. Customer Relationships:
Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities. Handle follow-up requests promptly and build strong customer relationships. Internal/External Cooperation:
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and business ethics. Communicate and implement these standards within the team. Foster a collaborative environment, build trust, and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally. Qualifications
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: 2-4 years of experience in project management, electrical, or a related field, with experience managing or assisting with multiple projects simultaneously. Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, or similar) and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, and a basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes. Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
