BASIC FUNCTION:
Maintains records of all receipt and disbursements for the cafeteria fees and extra-curricular account; prepares related financial reports and maintains the bookstore inventory and records.
SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE POSITION:
Required Experience or Training:
Equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of specialized bookkeeping training or experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have knowledge of accepted bookkeeping and accounting techniques and principles; ability to learn SBCSC and State Board of Accounts financial recordkeeping procedures. Must be able to maintain accurate and legible financial records; ability to make change and operate a cash register; ability to operate an adding machine, calculator, photocopier; ability to organize time and to meet deadlines.

Must be bondable.Must be sensitive to the needs of young adults.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collects and receipts money for various activities and items and posts appropriately
2. Disburses payments and posts appropriately.
3. Balances ledger sheets
4. Prepares and delivers bank deposits.
5. Reconciles bank statements.
6. Processes requisitions.
7. Maintains fees account; prepares delinquent fees list and sends out delinquent notices.
8. Tracks al l long distance telephone cal ls and assigns charges.
9. Maintains bookstore inventory and bookstore records.
10.Sells bookstore items to students.
11.Prepares monthly and annual financial statements.
12.Prepares periodic reports such as fees collection, board of control report, delinquent fee report, ticket sales reports, etc.
13.Prepares daily change funds for the cafeteria.
14.Issues weekly lunch ticket for free and reduced fee lunches.,
15.May assist parents with completion of Fees Assistance Application.
16.May serve as Secretary to the Board of Control .
17.May direct the work of a COE student.
18.Prepares fee collection information packets for homeroom teachers at the beginning of each semester.
19.Covers in absence of other secretaries.
20.Check in all fund raising items, then distribute to sponsor.
21.Receive all incoming packages and label for proper area. Includes stock.
22.Check in al l text books during the sumer.
23.Performs other duties as assigned.

May be required to use own transportation to make bank deposits.Required to lift fairly heavy parcels of classroom supplies.
