We are currently looking for a Market Manager to join our team. This position reports directly to our EVP - Retail Banking and is responsible for exceeding individual, departmental and Bank goals through active participation in business development and sales management, calling programs, community relations and customer service in assigned market. Effectively manages customer relationships by selling and promoting a broad array of appropriate financial products and services, providing pertinent financial information to customers and identifying/referring cross-marketing opportunities to meet customer needs. Ensures profitability by exercising managerial and administrative control over all operations of a branch office. Through sound leadership, responsible for overseeing that the staff is coached, developed and inspired to the maximum of their potential.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Carries out ongoing business development programs to promote the Bank's products and services. Participates in business development activities in an effort to grow core deposits and promote loan growth in the market.Leads the branch in building trust with customers by identifying their financial goals through established customer experience processes and proactively provides advice and guidance to customers to help them meet their financial goals. Participates in creating marketing plans and promotions to move branch forward.Leads the branch in following up with customers as outlined in the customer experience process. Works with the Customer Relations Manager to establish and execute sales plans, coach the team on the established customer experience framework to achieve branch targets.Demonstrates the features, highlights the benefits, and registers customers in the latest in online/mobile technology that the Bank has to offer. Puts a strong emphasis on the branch team to lead by example in usage of bank technology.Participates in the setting of goals and objectives for the branch in conjunction with the Operations and Retail Services Officer. Prepares reports of branch activity and goal/objective achievements through regular monitoring of business reports and is responsible for the annual branch budget.Provides guidance to Customer Relations Manager for hiring, coaching, progressive discipline, performance reviews, promotions and salary recommendations of branch staff.Coaches Customer Relations Manager and Supervisor in the daily operational functions of the branch to ensure highest level of satisfaction and delivery of a consistent customer experience aligned with the Built on Trust model.Acquires new business customers by conducting outbound business calls, contacting centers of influence and using additional sales tools to meet established sales and service goals and objectives. Calls on existing customers to cultivate ongoing customer relationships and cross-sell additional Bank products and services.Oversees all aspects of assigned branch and market.Keeps abreast of regulatory compliance and developments for assigned area and apprises staff of same. Ensures effective risk management and daily operations of branch: minimizes teller differences and charge-offs, researches teller differences, complies with all regulatory requirements in completion of BSA and CTR forms, and efficient balancing of ATM's, Vaults and Branch.Maintains business acumen, knowledge and understanding including the financial, sales, marketing and operational function of a business. Be familiar with business growth stages, forms of business organization, cash flow and the review of financial statements.Actively participates in community activities to promote and source business development opportunities and demonstrate the Bank's commitment to the local community.Fosters teamwork and inclusion by supporting a team environment in which members participate, respect, and cooperate with each other. Facilitates the development of all employees.Prepares an annual business plan to incorporate product knowledge training, individual goals, sales coaching sessions, and business development initiatives.Requirements

Detail oriented with the proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive informationExperience in prospecting and deepening relationships with new and existing customers and calling on businesses in the branch marketAbility to build relationships with customers and develop partnerships across business linesOutstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and develop branch staffRegistered Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) is requiredMust have knowledge of regulatory complianceProfessional dress and demeanorStrong business development and sales skillsExcellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skillsExcellent communication and presentation skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externallyProficient with various computer software programs; experience with Insight, preferredAbility to use office equipment, including faxes, copiers, computers and cellular phoneNotary PublicSignature Guarantee Medallion stamp certificationEducation/Training/Experience

Associates degree or its equivalent plus specialized course work and trainingA minimum of five (5) years progressive banking experience

INDEPENDENT ACTION

Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Manager where clarification or exception to Bank policy may be required.
