ResponsibilitiesThe
Program Coordinator
will insure the efficient operation of the program, its staff and individuals receiving services to achieve daily goals and objectives. Work with individuals to develop goals, as well as residential and behavioral habilitation plans. Observe and assess progress of individuals. Insure that individual goals are met and/or modified as needed. Complete appropriate fiscal and program records in timely manner. Prepare and maintain all necessary paperwork including payroll and incident reports. Hire, provide orientation, train, supervise, evaluate and coach all residential or program staff. Participate as a team trainer for agency trainings as required. Communicate and collaborate with other service providers and staff. May Monitor and manage personal allowance funds for individuals receiving services as well as house hold accounts. Administer basic first aid, or medication as prescribed pursuant to agency policies. Assume on call responsibility as assigned. Adhere to the philosophy of Toomey Residential and practice behaviors consistent with the National Alliance for Direct support Professionals (NADSP) Core Competencies, which include: Putting Individuals First; Building and Maintaining Positive Relationships; Demonstrating Professionalism; Supporting Good Health; Safety; Supporting the individual to live in the home of their choice, and being active and productive in their community. Maintain guidelines and policies as established by the funding sources and Toomey Residential and Community Services.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm with on-call responsibilities.
QualificationsAssociates degree and two to five years of experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities required or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred. A valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation; registered and insured vehicle. Must be able to use personal vehicle for work purposes. NYS Central Registry Clearance, NYS Justice Center Fingerprinting and background check.
