The Assistant Production Manager will provide constant communication, feedback and recognition to team members and production leaders to enable a positive team member experience and develop a world class culture in line with our company values.Duties / Responsibilities:The Assistant Production Manager, under the direction of the Production Manager, will be responsible for the following duties/responsibilities:Ability to lead large groups of people and focus on developing a culture of accountability working as a teamStrict adherence and compliance with quality assurance requirements to include HUD building codesBe safety minded and ability to put Safety 1st - must adhere to strict safety rules and guidelinesReviewing production performance and identifying training opportunities of production personnel as necessaryDirect teams effectively in each department to ensure timelines and production priorities are metProvide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring, and direction for personnel developmentImprove production processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times, and lowering costs of operations by utilizing Lean Manufacturing methods, 6S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, etc. applications where necessaryLead, guide and direct department leadersPartner with TMX as needed on team member initiativesOther duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma/college degree preferredMinimum 4-5 years relevant management experiencePrevious construction experience strongly preferredExperience in manufactured housing is greatly desiredExcellent planning and organizational skillsWell-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levelsFluent in Spanish preferred (30%+ of the plant is Spanish speaking)Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic math skillsMust be detail-oriented and can multi-task effectivelyAbility to read and understand home building specifications greatly desiredDemonstrated adherence to safety protocolsAbility to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast-paced work environmentPhysical Demands:Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling.Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
