Merchandise Planner
builds financial sales, gross margin and inventory plans for multiple departments in a given area on an item level basis. They will manage and plan merchandise inventory positions and markdown strategies to drive departmental sales, profit and sell thru objectives. The Merchandise Planner also provides in-season financial projections and strategies while identifying risks and opportunities to maximize profits.ResponsibilitiesLead annual and seasonal planning processes, including assortment planning, inventory allocation and sales forecasting for the Theory Full price retail and ecommerce businesses.Create Preseason sales, margin and inventory plans by style and color to achieve company targets.Establish and monitor key performance metrics in season, providing regular performance analysis and actionable recommendations to drive business results.Oversee Allocation team, developing inventory strategies that align to the sales and profitability goals of each store.Develop and implement markdown strategies, to maximize product sell thru and profitability.Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Merchandising, Marketing, Production, Store Management, Operations and Finance to align planning efforts with overall business goals.Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities and risks, informing decision making and continuous improvement.Drive process efficiencies and standardization within planning function to enhance productivity and accuracy.Streamline reporting to allow for improved business analysis and identification of risks and opportunities.Minimum Skills & Qualifications4+ years of experience in Merchandise PlanningBachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Merchandising or related fieldHigh level of experience and proficiency in ExcelExcellent problem solving and analytical skillsMathematical proficiency with strong business and financial acumenSuperior written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across all levels of managementStrong sense of teamwork to coordinate with many cross-functional partnersHigh degree of accountability and attention to detailAbility to flex across shifting prioritiesStrong sense of urgency and accuracySALARY RANGE:
