Amentum is now hiring for a Network Engineer (All Levels) – CSIA position in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:
Plans, designs, and evaluates new and existing computer network systems and services, including local area networks, wide area networks, intranets, and the Internet, providing analytical, technical, and administrative support.
Plans, oversees, develops, and implements network policies and procedures and ensures network integrity as maintenance and modification projects to existing applications are undertaken.
Troubleshoots network issues. Installs and upgrades network equipment and software.
Creates and maintains documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.
Establishes and documents network technical support processes and procedures.
Practices network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications.
Establishes voice and network standards regarding new technologies and applications.
Monitors and tests network performance and provides network performance statistics and reports.
Acts as technical liaison between clients, customers, and vendors resolve issues as needed.
Plans, supports and evaluates complex existing network systems and make recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels.
Provide technical assistance in network planning, engineering and architecture.
Provides and develops technical standards and interface applications; identifies and evaluates new products; provide solutions for network problems.
Interfaces with internal/external customers and vendors to determine system needs.
Plans and incorporates how new network resources and applications will exist on the network.
Provide monthly metrics for network availability and bandwidth usage as well as other metrics as requested.
Responsible for network capacity planning.
Use network management tools to discover, map and maintain the network.
Responsible for network equipment OS and version upgrades.
Responsible for conducting research of new technologies and implementation strategies.
Monitor and maintain network interfaces to insure its highest level of performance and makes modifications and enhancements as needed.
Responsible for documenting procedures and keeping network diagrams and related material up to date.
Handle escalated user problems, questions, and request on network issues.
Work with other groups to resolve network related issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline.
1-10+ years’ experience.
8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Compensation:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
