About the Role
To supercharge our objectives of delivering the best collector experience in the hobby, we are looking to fill the newly created role of a UX Writer. You'll be embedded in the Product Teams, making sure collectors have a great experience when they engage with our products. And because the hobby is always growing & changing, you'll have lots of freedom to learn, experiment, and iterate.
You'll be partnering with our amazing product managers, designers, researchers, data analysts and everyone else needed to get great work done.
Responsibilities and duties: "What you will do in the role day to day"
As a UX Writer, you will combine helping launch some of their most important products for our business, along with helping us put collectors at the heart of the hobby.
You'll also help grow our culture, coach and inspire the Fanatics team, ensuring everything we do is based on what our collectors think, feel and want.
As a senior UX Writer you will:Write for the Fanatics Live & Collect products on web, iOS, and Android. This will make up most of your work, but sometimes you'll dabble in other things, like notifications.Work closely with product designers and managers to understand the problems our customers face.Use customer insights to write, audit, and improve the content we show customers.Help define and champion a product writing process within your team.Work through the little details with engineers to make sure the stuff we ship is world-class.Work with the product design team to develop our content system integrated into our Design System.We'd love to hear from you if...

Writing for passionate customer bases and fansBuilding scalable and accessible content systems to drive consistency and reduce bottlenecksWriting for Marketplace or E-Commerce businessesArticulating Big ideas in small spaces, and explain complex writing decisions clearlyMoving quickly, while also sweating the right detailsWhat you'll bring to the role:
You have a few years of UX writing or content design experience, and a portfolio to prove it.You know how to build the case for great words within a business, and how critical they are for users.You understand how to work effectively with product designers, as well as across multiple offices and cultures.You know how best to test and iterate on content, and feel comfortable picking up new design tools.You can give and receive feedback constructively, and you're always keen to learn.Build a strong culture of writing at FanaticsAnd as a heads up, this probably isn't for you if
You specialize in ads, long form, or social media content.You're looking to stay freelance - this role is full-time.You need a structured briefing process to do your best work.

In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $88,000-$110,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In New York City, the salary range is $96,000-$119,000. These salary ranges are specific to Los Angeles or NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
