Teledyne LeCroy, Chestnut Ridge, NY is looking for a Field Applications Engineer to support their growing test equipment business. The ideal candidate would be based near one of the following metro areas: Austin TX, Houston TX, Atlanta GA, Washington D.C., Boston MA, or Florida near a major airport. Candidates who possess both exceptional oscilloscope knowledge and also outstanding presentation skills can be based in any location.
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver interesting, informative, and persuasive technical presentations, customer training classes, and hands-on product demonstrations
Assist the field organization to meet and exceed sales quota, through hands-on technical expertise of oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment
Clearly explain complex topics, and answer technical questions articulately
Possess deep knowledge of hundreds of different measurement application areas such as three phase power, power integrity, power device analysis, embedded systems, high speed serial data such as PCIe, USB, DDR; low speed serial data such as I2C, SPI, UART; automotive signaling such as Automotive Ethernet, CAN, SENT; signal integrity, jitter measurements, de-embedding, ESD, TDR, S-parameter analysis, cable testing, instrument remote control, and much more
Organize large amounts of information and be prepared to rapidly retrieve the information during live customer interactions
Learn quickly and adapt to rapidly evolving technologies
Develop deep familiarity with each product and be able to operate each with ease while explaining the steps that are being performed
Write simple code scripts in Visual Basic, MATLAB, and Python when needed
Support multiple phases of the sales process including requirements analysis, feature-by-feature product demonstrations, test benchmarks, competitive positioning, and implementation/execution of customer training events
Achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
Basic Qualifications:
BSEE degree or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Hands-on experience using oscilloscopes or similar test and measurement equipment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and retain large amounts of information
Passion for organizing and documenting large amounts of information that can be quickly accessed and retrieved during live customer interactions
This position requires a motivated, high performance candidate
U.S. citizenship is required
Up to 60% travel
The job involves travel throughout the US (coast to coast), Canada, and Mexico
Salary Range:
$139,700.00-$187,770.000
