Position Summary:
Employee Benefits Corporation is hiring for a
Senior Systems Administrator.
The Senior Systems Administrator position provides technical administration and oversight of the on premise and cloud-based server, network, and security-based systems to maximize reliability, performance, and availability, in order to meet business objectives. This position is responsible for providing technical administration and support in activities associated with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of issues within all server, network, cloud infrastructure or platform services, and voice environment.
This person may work in our Middleton, WI office, or partially remote depending on availability. Must be available for one day of onsite training and onboarding in person at our Middleton, WI office.
Responsibilities Include:Lead technical administration activities associated with identification, prioritization and resolution of issues within the on premise and cloud-based server, network, and voice environmentsLead operational system design and maintenance initiatives, which includes participation in evaluation, budgetary planning, implementation, updates, upgrades, and project related setups for on premise and cloud-based (as services may require) server, network, and voice systemsEvaluate and recommend new technologies and tools for system improvements, enhancements, and cost optimizationsProactively monitor on premise and cloud-based server, network, and voice systems. Identify issues, opportunities for improvement or anomalies and take action through to resolutionParticipate in the management of vendor relationships and contracts, ensuring effective service delivery and adherence to SLAsMaintain current working knowledge of company products, processes and industry data exchange best practices, tools and methodologiesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft products, process, and industry best practices to facilitate continuous improvement and innovation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues and provide timely support to end-usersDocument system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain up-to-date system documentationSafeguard confidentiality, privacy, and security of organization and customer personal information
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline; may be substituted with four years of relevant work experienceMinimum seven years of experience with Enterprise level system administration, networking, security, and infrastructure conceptsMinimum four years of experience with Hyper Converged Infrastructure (such as Nutanix, VxRail, etc.) and modern hypervisor environment administration including Vmware and Nutanix AHVMinimum of two years of experience with M365 ecosystem (Office, Teams, SharePoint, Dynamics, OneDrive, Power Apps, DataVerse, InTune, etc.)Minimum two years experience supporting a Azure DevOps and containerized development environment (Orchestration, Infrastructure as code, Agile Development, etc.)Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience working with Active Directory, Entra ID, and Active Directory Services Interfaces (ADSI)Demonstrated understanding and extensive experience working with Windows Server OS, Linux, and Microsoft AzureExperience automating, scripting and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracyProficiency in managing and troubleshooting enterprise-level systems, such as Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL ServerProactive mindset with the ability to analyze complex problems, devise innovative solutions, and prioritize tasks effectivelyDemonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, utilizing proper grammar and syntaxStrong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to multitask in a high paced environmentPossession of valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Experience administering Nutanix Acropolis and AHV environmentsExperience administering Cisco Switch and/or Fortinet firewall environmentsExperience administering IP telephony (especially RingCentral) administrationExperience administering multi-cloud environments (Azure, Google, or AWS based IaaS or PaaS)Experience Powershell scriptingCurrent Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MCSE)Cisco ASA administrationPrevious experience working in highly regulated, high-privacy oriented compliance environments (such as HIPAA, SOC 1 and 2, ISO 27001, etc.)Previous experience working with COBRA and tax advantaged benefit plans
