Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented multiple Senior System Administrators to join our team! System Engineers must be adept at developing solutions and discovery of performance improvement opportunities. If you enjoy debugging and redesign work, we have a great opportunity for you!

What You'll Be Doing:

Conduct functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.

Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.

Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.

Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.

Plan, execute, and verify data redundancy and system recovery procedures.

Install, update, and troubleshoot systems and servers.

Comply with organization systems administration standard operating procedures.

Implement and enforce local network usage policies and procedures.

Manage system and server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.

Monitor and maintain system and server configurations.

Perform repairs on faulty system and server hardware.

Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 15 years’ experience as a System Administrator, OR High school diploma and 20 years’ experience as a System Administrator

Experience with both Windows and Linux, preferably with Linux RHEL 8

Windows and Linux patching

Virtualization working with VMware / OpenStack / OpenShift

Networking Switch- VLAN setup and VMware virtual NIC config for isolation

Active Directory configuration and support

Hardware and Operating System troubleshooting

STIG hardening recommendations

Understanding of project design within the scope of security (RMF) requirements

Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)

Ability to demonstrate cyber/IT related experience with attention to detail, customer service, oral and written communication, and problem solving.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

AWS Cloud or Azure Cloud experience and cloud resource administration

Linux RHEL 8 in-depth knowledge of security and operating overhead to streamline performance

Extensive virtualization management, architectural understanding and performance behaviors

Kubernetes administration, installation, maintenance and tuning

Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
