What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will have the following responsibilities:

Understanding and application of principles, concepts, theories and standard related to security systems, wiring, electrical circuits and power supplies

Knowledge of security systems (hardware and software) utilized by Amgen, including:

Access control

CCTV

Visitor management systems

Incident Reporting

Key Systems

Alarm systems

Knowledge of applicable regulatory and industry standards and compliance issues related to the implementation of security systems.

Applies research, information gathering, and analytical and interpretation skills to problems of diverse scope

Ensures compliance within regulatory environment

Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate complexity

Screens, categorizes, evaluates, reconciles, reports and resolves data integrity issues

Interprets generally defined practices and methods

Ensures systems installations are aligned with Amgen Global Security standards

Works under general direction of senior systems’ personnel within the department

Work is guided by objectives of the department or assignment

Refers to established policies and procedures regarding security systems as needed

May set project timeframes and priorities based on project objectives and ongoing assignments

Recognizes and escalates problems that may arise regarding company security systems

Contributes to department/unit by ensuring quality of tasks/ services provided by self

Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects or activities within own department or workgroup

Applies knowledge and understanding of customer needs and other internal/external contacts

Establishes working relationships with other key stakeholders

Enhances own knowledge through understanding business trends, business best practices and objectives

Knowledge of industry and business principles as related to security systems

Develops own project management techniques supporting existing and future projects

Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations/problems using multiple sources of information

Work is guided by operational and project objectives

Contributes to Global Security/Security Systems program by ensuring quality of tasks/ services provided by self and others assisting in a project or assignment

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree

Or

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Science experience

Or

Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Science experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Science experience

Preferred Qualifications

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Good understanding of TCP/IP network architecture.

Good communication and decision-making skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to work effectively with external business partners and contractors.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
