The work, and what you'll do:This role involves supporting the infrastructure, deployment, and maintenance of a machine translation triage application utilizing AI, ML, and DS capabilities. The system administrator will work closely with a cross-functional team to design, build, and optimize a complex application for national security objectives.
Responsibilities include:- Support a cross-functional agile application development team.- Support multiple simultaneous work packages and provide infrastructure and deployment solutions.- Identify novel approaches to improve system performance through system administration optimizations.
What you'll need:- BS with 8+ years of related experience, 4+ years of system administration experience, preferably in a cloud-native environment.- Strong experience with AWS/C2S, Linux OS, and application/infrastructure deployment.- Ability to obtain and maintain Privileged User Access and experience maintaining hardware in compliance with security policy.- Proficiency in system administration scripting languages.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn new skills quickly.
Experience with the following are a plus:- Experience supporting military or intelligence community customers and data team operations.- Interest in data science, data engineering, or machine learning.- Experience with on-prem, air-gapped environments, storage solutions, and networking solutions.- Experience with Kubernetes applications, DevOps/MLOPs, IT automation, virtualization, distributed file systems, version control, and program management technologies.- AWS professional certifications.- Familiarity with NVIDIA GPUs and GPU appliances.
Clearance requirement: TS/SCI (with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph). Please note, you MUST have the required clearance for consideration.
Location/telework: Hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office, with flexibility) with onsite location in Bethesda, MD.
