The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.
Responsibilities
Quote and procure materials, hardware and services to support Las Vegas tunneling projects.Review and select the fastest / most cost effective procurement options.Track Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders and delivery of materials and services, challenging Suppliers to expedite delivery dates to meet critical tunneling project timelines.Maintain regular contact with vendors and suppliers to establish and maintain relationships, ensure responsiveness and competitive pricing.Maintain accurate, up to date records including invoices, purchase orders and purchasing agreements, to make sure they are up to date. Work with receiving, finance and Suppliers to reconcile discrepancies in receiving and invoicing.Basic Requirements
Experience with procurement and inventory systems (NetSuite, Tipalti, etc.).Excellent Excel and other MS Office skills required; Experience with ERP or MRP purchasing systems preferredAbility to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including construction teams, engineers, and Suppliers.Additional Requirements
Position may require extended work hours and weekend workPosition may require use of personal vehicle to transit between work sites.
