Sr Engineer - Windows Server
The Server Engineering & Virtualization (SEV) team is looking for an experienced, self-motivated engineer to provide level-3 support to Client's on-premises and Cloud server infrastructure. Candidates must be highly organized, service-delivery oriented, and have a solid background in systems administration, automation, and technical writing.
Required:
4+ Years' Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration, installation, and configuration Experience with VMware vCenter, Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Windows Failover Clustering Experience with HP ProLiant and Cisco UCS technologies Experience with automation, workflow, and orchestration Experience of PowerShell scripting and/or Microsoft .NET programming (e.g. C#, Visual Basic, ASP, etc.) Experience with vulnerability management and remediation Understanding of basic networking concepts (e.g. DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, CIDR, etc.) Understanding of basic Fiber Channel SAN and enterprise storage technologies (e.g. LUN masking, zoning, etc.) Understanding of basic security and regulatory standards (e.g. PCI DSS, SOX, etc.) Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills Ability to work independently, with limited supervision, within and across teams Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
Desired:
Experience with Windows Server installation, configuration, and management Knowledge of Puppet/Ansible Knowledge of HP iLO, Cisco UCS Manager, and Cisco UCS Central Knowledge of Ivanti Shavlik and SUSE Manager for patching Industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, etc.) are a plus.
