We are looking for a
Senior IT Specialist
to join our IT team in our Teaneck, New Jersey office. As our Sys-Admin, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's employees and server computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading desktop hardware and software, as well as ensuring smooth functionality of conference rooms and IT/Security systems.
A day in the life and how you'll make an impact:
Lead and manage IT projects focused on enhancing system performance, infrastructure upgrades, and operational efficiency.Manage the organization's network and security infrastructure, including firewalls (Cisco Meraki, Fortigate), VPNs, and network optimization.Install and configure new computers and related hardware for company employees.Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries related to computer operating systems (Windows and macOS), software, and hardware.Offer support for Active Directory, G Suite, Office 365, Atlassian products, and Okta environments.Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring proper setup and removal of IT accounts and access.Proactively identify and address trends in user issues to drive continuous improvement in IT services.Manage and maintain IT equipment inventory, including ordering, tracking, and maintenance.Provide conference room support, including hardware and software troubleshooting (Zoom, Google Meet).Assist the IL team with on-premises server management, ensuring uptime, performance, and ongoing maintenance.Requirements
4+ years of experience in IT Support/System Administration or related roles.Windows and macOS experience required; Linux - advantage.Strong knowledge and experience with networking and Security, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Wifi Management and experience with firewalls (Cisco Meraki, Fortigate), including site-to-site VPNs.Experience with IT project management, handling various initiatives related to infrastructure, employee support, and system upgrades.Scripting proficiency with PowerShell for automation and efficiency in system administration tasks - advantageMicrosoft Azure and Intune experience for managing devices and ensuring endpoint security.Familiarity with Active Directory and common enterprise tools like G Suite, Office 365, and Okta.On-premises server management experience, including maintenance and troubleshooting.Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.Highly organized, with strong time management and the ability to multitask effectively.Ability to learn and implement new systems and processes, Analyze and resolve complex problems.Familiarity with hardware components, such as laptops and Dell PCs.Experience with ESXi and vSphere management for virtualized environments.Benefits we offer:
