We are hiring Security System Designers. The work will focus on designing and specifying security access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the preparation and delivery of Electronic Security Systems (ESS) design documentation including drawings and specification of security systems including access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, emergency communications and duress alerting systems using Revit with and AutoCAD.Preparing program requirements and basis of design reportsComprehensive coordination with clients, owners, and design team membersFacilitating/Attending design/coordination meetings and providing meeting input and documentationReview and approve shop drawings and product data submittals and responding to RFIsConduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with contract documents, field coordination of installation work; reviewing and analyzing test resultsPerform site surveys; document and submit project field observationsQUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience in security system design and/or integrationExperience with building structured cabling and audio-visual systems preferredGood communication and interpersonal skills and ability to assist with project managementProficiency in Microsoft office applications, AutoCAD, and Revit application softwareAbility to complete construction documents including drawings and specificationsAbility to review submittals, answer RFI's, and perform field observationCPP or PSP certification is a plus
