Position Summary
The Sr. IT Systems Administrator will execute IT projects and tasks of various complexity in collaboration with other IT team members and/or vendors. The Sr. Systems Administrator will also assist with end-user support, as needed.
Duties And Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Design, deploy, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, network devices, virtualization technologies, etc.Ability to manage IT projects and ability to clearly communicate status updates.Prepare documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.Install and configure hardware and software components and ensure that IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently in a high availability environment.Monitor system performance, identify issues, and develop solutions to optimize system performance.Ensure that the organization's IT infrastructure is secure and protected from unauthorized access or data breaches.Manage backup and recovery systems to ensure business continuity and minimize downtime.Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve technical issues and provide end-user support.Performs other duties as assigned or required.Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.At least 7 years (10 years plus preferred) of experience in IT systems administration or a related field.Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments, including experience with virtualization technologies (VMware preferred).Be able to build Linx and Windows ServersExperience with cloud computing platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, etc.).Understanding of networking technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.Experience with backup and recovery technologies (Rubrik experience would be a plus).Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to identify solutions to complex technical issues.Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), are a plus.Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.Vaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
the individual's skill sets, experience and training;licensure and certification requirements;office location and other geographic considerations;other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
