Full Stack Web Engineer

We seek a proven, reliable, and motivated Full Stack PHP Engineer with at least two years of job experience working with MVC frameworks and producing functional software solutions. You will work closely with team leads, QA, UX, QA, and product owners to maintain and enhance WordPress sites and custom applications for our Marketing Department. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
You will fit in well if you have hands-on experience in agile methodologies, are adept at multi-tasking, and enjoy learning new programming languages and application frameworks. You would be an integral part of a cross-functional team. You will engage with testers and developers daily while assisting the Lead Software Engineer.
PHP experience is required.This hybrid position requires onsite in our New York, NY office.Primary Job Duties
Produce application designs that fit within the team's architectural strategies.Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.Review and debug code.Perform validation and verification testing.Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.Document development phases and monitor systems.Ensure software is up to date with the latest technologies.Required Skills, Specialized Knowledge, and Competency Requirements
Fundamental understanding of relational databases, object-oriented design, and client-server architectureFront End : HTML, CSS, and at least 1 year of experience using modern web development tools such as webpack, grunt and/or Node Package Manager (NPM)Configuration/environment/databases: Docker, Git, Node, MySQLPHP2-3 years of experience working with Laravel2-3 years of experience working with WordPress - local configuration, deploying theme/theme components to remote server (ability to create custom themes/child-themes is a plus)
Javascript1-3 years of experience with at least one Single Page Application (SPA) framework (React or Angular)Working knowledge of ECMAScript (ES) 6 standards (arrow functions, importing/exporting modules)1-3 years of experience with rendering JSON (or similar formats) via API calls, as well as familiarity with CRUD operations (GET, PUT, DELETE, etc).
Preferred but not required
Bachelor's degree in computer science/Engineering (or related field) or equivalent work experience.Additional languages: Typescript (standalone or through working with modern web frameworks/SPAs),Deployment: CI/CD (Jenkins Preferred), AWSProject tools: JIRA, ConfluenceProject/planning: working familiarity with Agile development or scrum
The salary range for this position in New York is $90,000-$100,000; however, the salary offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
