Summary
The Regional Sales Director is a field-based position responsible for managing the field sales account managers in the given geography for the role. The Regional Sales Director must provide strong leadership and support to the field sales team of approximately 10-15 Account Managers, expand upon the positive company culture and work environment and deliver on all organizational sales expectations. They will work in collaboration with Executive Sales Management to determine, create and implement key field initiatives and provide proper direction to the field sales team.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree and 5-7 Years of successful pharmaceutical field sales experience. Experience in dermatology, training and leading sales teams or initiatives is a plus.
Duties and Responsibilities:
They include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):
1. Lead the field sales team in all efforts to hit their territory goals to properly achieve company targets.
2. Manage all the items and incidences that occur with Account Managers in managing their business, their customers, territory challenges and any items that relate to creating a positive and successful work environment.
3. Clearly and effectively implement and manage all items related to sales team effectiveness and productivity, including but not limited to field sales trainings, call activity, field coaching, customer strategies, business planning, and sales tool utilization.
4. Communicate regularly with all Account Managers both by phone and in person - Minimum of Bi-Weekly calls with team and individual Account Managers and minimum quarterly field visits with all territories.
5. Must understand all reporting parameters and tools to effectively understand business trends and to make the proper decisions to adjust or alter field actions as needed.
6. The ability to offer solutions guidance for account manager and territory challenges, but also to troubleshoot sales obstacles and underperformance on a local as well as national level.
7. Effectively utilize and demonstrate all aspects and tools of the business to not only present at an executive customer level, but also to model appropriate field utilization for team.
8. Lead sales related calls, initiatives and trainings as needed.
9. Analyze risks and opportunities of growth initiatives and market trends.
10. The position requires 60-75% of field travel, with a minimum of quarterly travel to our NJ Headquarters to meet with leadership.
11. In the event of an internal hire of a current Account Manager, the role will be a Hybrid role for a minimum interim period of time of 3 months. During that transition time, territory quotas must be managed by the Hybrid Account Manager to meet the corporate goals for sales. Time will be split between onboarding to the new role and territory management, but the territory quotas must be maintained.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have experience with or knowledge of software products including Tableau, Salesforce, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe and have experience in creating and presenting on reports using platforms like Powerpoint.
Administrative Expectations:
The ability to read, analyze, interpret and present reports on business for both a local and national level. Candidate must have the ability to create and build executive reports, business correspondence, and training content as needed. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is a must. Administrative execution is of the utmost importance for the role. Deadlines and demands of the role must be met with consistency and in line with the demands of the Executive Management team. Must be able to successfully manage all travel and meetings related to the role, including conferences and company meetings and planning. Candidate must properly account for all budgets and funds for team and corporate spend, i.e. conferences, marketing, travel expenses, etc. Each employee is responsible for the secure and appropriate handling of Apotheco's information, information received by customers, other companies and/or external parties.

Hybrid Role Parameters :
This role shall serve as a Hybrid role for the first 6 months in the event of an internal hire. The internal hire will be able to transition full time Regional Sales Director role after a successful 6 month onboarding period. The employee will be asked to maintain current territory needs as they onboard and ramp up to a full time Regional Sales Director. The transition period will allow for a measured and successful internal onboarding while taking into consideration the needs of the team and the candidates current territory.
A transitional salary will be offered during this period and all territory bonus will be paid out until full transition.
