Auto Claims Adjuster

AmWINS Program Underwriters is seeking an organized, motivated candidate to join its Claims Department as a Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster. As a Commercial Auto Claims Adjuster, you will investigate and adjust 1st party physical damage claims from first notice of loss through to resolution. The work is fast-paced and requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a customer-oriented attitude.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Establish timely contact with all applicable parties to a claim, gather facts of the loss, and clearly explain the claims processAssess coverage, identifying and addressing potential coverage issuesEstablish reserves pursuant to established reserving protocols and proceduresCommunicate the rationale behind coverage decisions to all relevant partiesMaintain file notes and correspondence throughout the adjudication process to ensure all work is "audit ready"Alert claims supervisor in the event of potential fraud, recovery, or severity escalation in the claimManage total losses, salvage, and subrogation claims pursuant to established company procedures and processesOther Responsibilities:

Maintain appropriate state adjuster licenses; and maintain annual required CE creditsPerform general office administrative tasks as requiredComplete loss reports, as requiredAttributes of Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 2-5 years related experience in auto adjusting

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred

Michigan Adjusters License or willingness and ability to obtain adjusters license within 90 days (study assistance and fees reimbursed by Amwins)Knowledge of state and federal laws applicable to auto claimsBroad understanding of commercial auto policy(s) language/coverageBody Shop or Appraisal/Estimation work welcomedExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent MS Office, Word, Power Point, and Excel expertiseCompany Benefits:
