Senior Business Analyst

The Brattle Group, a privately held, global economics consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Boston, MA office. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams including internal stakeholders across the organization to plan, design, develop and implement quality solutions to achieve business process improvements and objectives. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Business Analysis.
Some of the day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
Lead requirements gathering initiatives and translate into appropriate functional systems requirements or user specification requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to both developers and project teams.
Work closely with IT-Applications and developers to design and implement new processes, reports and solutions based on user requirements; includes testing, rollout, and support Maintain and assist with changes related to applicable business systems configurations; includes research & troubleshooting user reported issues and creating supporting documentation
Act as technical consultant working with business and I.S. leaders from multiple departments and with varying levels of influence. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
Plan, coordinate, and execute testing plans for complex enhancements and system upgrades/ implementations with responsibility for the identification, tracking of issues, and implementation of solutions.
Assist Business Analysis team with general ticket support for appropriate business systems and reporting inquiries
Ad hoc support for business analysis related activities including applicable reporting to support business initiative related research or other decision making activities
Plan, lead, and execute projects related to process improvement initiatives, enhancements to existing tools and systems, and other high-visibility firm priority projects
Effectively manage project tasks and timeline, resources, related documentation, prepare/deliver presentations and training, and provide guidance and direction to business users.
Collaborate and manage relationships between stakeholders, contributors, and external contacts with third-party vendors/partners
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives
Hold regular team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
THE CANDIDATE
Bachelor’s Degree with focus in business
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business analyst, technical project manager or similar with applicable business tools/systems and/or project experience; Prior experience in a professional services industry a plus
Demonstrated project management skills including planning, organizing, and managing resources
Strong business system analysis and/or Information Systems (IS) experience
Working knowledge of relational databases and business systems structure
Experience and involvement with implementation of new (or) upgrading of existing large scale business systems (such as ERP, HCM, CRM, etc.) a plus
Proven experience developing functional requirements and technical specifications into comprehensible format for both developers and project teams
Experience with project management software tools (such as JIRA, Trello, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar) and agile project management methodologies
PM methodologies including Agile, Waterfall etc.
Experience with MS SQL for data analysis (select statements, table joins), process workflow review, and knowledge of enterprise database table structures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal with the ability to work effectively and to interact with clients, team members, as well as third-party vendors and service providers.
Overtime may be required
Brattle offers a competitive benefits package, base salary, and bonus program for eligible roles based on individual and firm performance. The anticipated base gross salary range for this position in Boston, MA is $100,000 - $125,000 annually. Actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including experience and training.
