Cyber Security Engineer

Amentum is now hiring for several Cyber Security Engineer (All Levels) – CSIA positions in support of the Cyber Security & Information Assurance (CSIA) Support Services office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment CSIA core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of CSIA and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within CSIA.

The candidate will work closely with the client to perform the following:
Plans, develops, and implements proven high-tech solutions to increase security and defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats, and other types of cybercrimes.
Oversees monitoring of computer networks, identifies security issues, and anticipates security breaches.
Executes the installation and maintenance of security programs, plans, and software, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
Assures protection of the organization's data and infrastructure by enabling the appropriate security controls.
Investigates and analyzes security breaches and cyber security incidents to determine the source of the issues and assesses the damaged caused.
Documents all parts of security incidents or breaches.
Performs assessments and penetration tests to identify network and system vulnerabilities, troubleshoots security and network problems, determines the best way to avoid them, and responds to system or network security breaches.
Oversees security technology and audit or intrusion systems.
Develops and handles secure network solutions to protect against advanced persistent threats.
Keeps abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations.
Has experience in heterogeneous computer networking technology and work in protocol and/or interface standards specification is preferred.
Analyzes and resolves INFOSEC technical problems.
Configures testbeds and conducts testing, records and analyzes results, and provides recommendations for improvements for the products/systems under test.
Areas of focus include Guard, Firewall, Secure Network Server, format security solutions, "Smart Cards" and emerging technologies and future trends.
Supports the integration of INFOSEC solutions and technologies into networks with particular attention to protocols, interfaces, and system design.
Has general experience including system engineering; electrical design, software engineering; program design and implementation; configuration management; or maintenance.
Has knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or security administration of Unix or NT network/systems.
Has knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security- related technologies and auditing tools.
Capable of providing security engineering analysis on a variety of information systems.
Capable of developing security accreditation/certification documentation and creating and maintaining security policy and procedures.
Capable of performing security certification engineering analysis, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments.
Capable of designing and configuring security tools.
Capable of developing test procedures, establishing test environments, executing security certification test/demonstrations/evaluations, documenting results, and developing reports, conclusions, and recommendations.
Capable of conceptualizing and implementing security systems and architectures.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree Computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required.
1-10+ years of experience.
8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Must have an Active TOP SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a TOP SECRET Clearance.
Compensation:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $250,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.).
