Are you a dynamic, passionate, and innovative Data and Infrastructure Engineer aspiring to step into a leadership role? We are transforming the landscape of scientific research through Machine Learning and are eager to find a proactive team player who can help steer our direction as we grow. Join us as we forge new paths, working with our expert data science, engineering, and biology teams while preparing to lead your own team as we expand.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with data science, engineering, and biology teams to design and implement scalable data infrastructure solutions, with an eye on building and managing your team in the future.Develop and maintain advanced data pipelines leveraging AWS services with scalability and user experience in mind.Enhance data storage and retrieval processes, supporting strategic decisions to improve efficiency in growing environments.Lead the creation of user workflows to promote FAIR data best practices, setting standards for future teammates.Troubleshoot and resolve data infrastructure issues, developing frameworks and documentation to support future team members.Required Skills:
Proficiency with AWS Data services and Infrastructure.Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS CDK and Terraform.Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, with strategic planning for scalability.Understanding of data lake and warehousing concepts and analytics services to lead in architectural decisions.Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a proven ability to lead initiatives.Ability to work collaboratively in a growing team environment and deliver results, with aspirations to advance into team leadership.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with bioassay and cheminformatics data, enhancing our strategic applications for research.Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of experience in data engineering and infrastructure, demonstrating readiness to transition to a team lead role as the organization scales.
