In your Data Science Strategy Leader role, you\'ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world. The purpose of this high-performance role is to develop high-risk high-reward priority data science solutions, define the Data Science strategy, standards, and operating model, and be an agent for future growth of analytics-based solutions across the enterprise. This individual contributor role will have 2 primary focus areas: * Hands on application of Data Science: Identification, framing, prototyping, development, continuous improvement, and socialization of cutting-edge Data Science models and approaches * Data Science Community and Strategy: Support activation of KC Global Data Science Community of Practice and provide input for Data Science vision, strategy and execution plans. While this role will have a primary ownership area (e.g. demand forecasting or first party data) it will have the opportunity to work on a breadth of business problems in Supply Chain. It is ideal for candidates who excel at operating in environments with imperfect data, and comfortable prioritizing progress over perfection by making reasonable business assumptions. Responsibilities: Hands on application of Data Science: * Engage with KC Global BUs and Functions to identify potential advanced data science use cases in the area of ownership: lead ideation sessions, frame problem statements, define value propositions, propose modeling approaches, estimate effort and data requirements * Build and help prioritize backlog of advanced data science use cases gathered across KC Global, with a focus on complex and high value business problems * Assist with Proof-of-Concept data science model development: acquire, cleanse, and harmonize data, analyze and identify appropriate algorithms, build models that are interpretable, explainable and sustainable at scale and meets the business needs * Assist with socialization and adoption of Data Science approaches across KC Global BU\'s through robust and innovative visualizations, interactive dashboards designed for non-technical audiences * Interpret model outputs, draw strategic and actionable insights, present findings and make recommendations to cross-functional and senior leadership teams. * Drive continuous improvement, seek additional data inputs and methods for existing models or models that are being built by other data scientists embedded in the business When you bring your original thinking to Kimberly-Clark, you fuel the continued success of our enterprise. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications: Critical Technical Skills: * 3+ years of experience with hands-on involvement in data science projects (consulting experience is a plus; experience in CPG/Retail, Demand Planning, Category Management, Digital Marketing, Revenue Management, or Supply Chain preferred) * A bachelor\'s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics) - An advanced degree in a quantitative field is preferred and will be accepted in lieu of 2 years of experience. * Proficiency in any programming language (e.g. R, Python, C++, MiniTab, SAS, Matlab, VBA) * Proficiency with any data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, D3, Shiny) * Demonstrated experience with practical applications of advanced forecasting (e.g. time series models, ARIMA, TBATS, XGBoost) or mining large first party datasets (e.g. churn, CLV, up/cross sell, shrinkage methods, clustering, random forests) [NNs and deep/reinforcement learning familiarity is a plus, but not required] * Demand Planning experience preferred. * Kinaxis Rapid Response Planning system experience preferred.
