Job Description

The Director of Marketing will drive the strategic development and implementation of IPS Rebates' marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and actively supporting revenue growth and retention efforts. Working closely with the Director of Sales, the primary focus will include supplier growth and retention strategy, brand development, and sales enablement. Initially managing a team of two, this newly established role is positioned to make a profound impact on our organization's growth and future achievements.

Job Responsibilities

Growth and Sales Enablement

Lead development and execution of annual IPS marketing plan to drive long-term growth and retention within key audiences, including Suppliers and IPS Rebates Members (primarily K12 School Districts).

Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive suite of marketing collateral showcasing the IPS Value Proposition, collaborating closely with marketing specialist, internal stakeholders, and creative agency partners.

Collaborate with the Sales Director to launch annual client survey, aimed at generating insightful results and facilitating continuous growth opportunities.

Support IPS Rebates' business development endeavors through innovative marketing strategies, branding initiatives, and effective communication tools.

Partner with the Director of Sales to develop and execute demand and lead generation campaigns aimed at increasing market share and supporting prospective member acquisition goals.

Utilize various analytical tools and metrics, such as web analytics, CRM, and email marketing platforms, to analyze and optimize marketing campaign performance, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators and overarching business objectives.

Work in tandem with Aramark Supply Chain IPS liaison and IPS Manager of Manufacturer Relations to collaborate directly with suppliers, developing launch materials and executing launches for both internal and external audiences.

Provide strategic oversight to identify compliance and program opportunities within the Supplier network.

Manage the IPS marketing program profit and loss (P&L), including monthly projections, to ensure financial alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Smart a la Carte Member Portal Development, Management and Metrics

Lead the ongoing enhancements and improvement of the Smart a la Care member portal and rewards program.

Develop and maintain supplier content in ?Supplier section? of the member portal to drive compliance and program opportunities.

Manage third-party fulfillment company relationship and contract. (Integrated Marketing Technologies)

Brand Marketing

Oversee creative content and positioning of the IPS Rebates public website and social media marketing to drive engagement, collaborating with external agency partners.

Create and maintain standardized, brand-focused templates for business reviews, presentations, and other deliverables.

Actively seek out advertising opportunities, assess their return on investment, and communicate results to IPS senior management.

Continuously gather K12 insights and educational resources from the School Nutrition Association (SNA) website and other learning platforms, and effectively communicate findings to internal stakeholders.

Monitor, evaluate, and implement insights from industry trends to enhance overall marketing effectiveness, with a focus on digital marketing and social media strategies.

Events, Conferences, Tradeshow and Association Strategy

Lead the strategy development and execution of the School Nutrition Association Annual National Conference, and State Conferences.

Supervise the Marketing Specialist, Creative agency, and fulfillment partner in creating collateral, booth designs, client giveaways, and promotions.

Manage the partnership with the School Nutrition Association to optimize the IPS Rebates Patron sponsorship.

People Leadership

This position is responsible for the performance and development of 2 team members.

Implement data dashboards that integrate content, campaigns, Smart a la Carte member portal engagement, and performance across the team, reporting out monthly on key findings and identifying areas of success, improvement, and opportunity.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following professional experience and skills:

A successful candidate must possess a 4-year college degree in Marketing or Communications

Minimum seven (7) years of marketing and/or communication experience, demonstrating a record of progressively increasing responsibility.

Experience in developing short and long-term marketing strategies.

Experience and demonstrated ability on the use of the following: email marketing software (Pardot or HubSpot).

Financial acumen, budget development and people management skills

Above average computer skills, specifically in Microsoft office applications - MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization.

Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

Foodservice Industry experience is a plus, K12 segment experience is an additional asset.
