Senior Software Engineer, Backend - Advanced Cluster Security

Red Hat, Raleigh, North Carolina, United States, 27601

The Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security (RHACS) (https://cloud.redhat.com/products/kubernetes-security) team (formerly StackRox) builds a Kubernetes-native container security solution that enables our customers to securely build, deploy, and run cloud-native applications anywhere. This team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build security solutions helping our customers to safely operate some of the world’s largest commercial Kubernetes clusters in private and public clouds.

We design workflows to secure our customers’ Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes deployments across the full software development life cycle. You will contribute to the team’s mission to continue differentiating Red Hat OpenShift as the most secure distribution of Kubernetes using tools like KubeLinter (https://github.com/stackrox/kube-linter) (a solution to validate security and operational readiness best practices).

With a growing product and a strong mission, you’ll be able to make an immediate impact on our offering, APIs, architecture (https://docs.openshift.com/acs/architecture/acs-architecture.html) , and engineering processes. With Kubernetes adoption rapidly growing, the team constantly faces new challenges like simplifying our customer deployments, improving performance to enable scaling across multiple dimensions, or even building a cloud-native managed service flavour of RHACS. Through all of this, you will ensure our offering just works for those getting started with Kubernetes and experts alike.

We are a fully remote team with colleagues working from different countries across Europe and are looking for engineers who thrive in an environment with a lot of autonomy. Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
