Job Summary
Ensure compliance with the performance work standards for food handling, serving, cleaning and distribution. Develop and implement Individualized Program Plan targeted to address vocational assessment and training needs as they relate to the performance of the Food Service Workers.
Hourly wages $19.90 hourly
Application window will be open from October 9, 2024, through January 9, 2025.
Primary Duties
* Inspect facility (with off-going shift leader if needed) using Shift Leader Check List, and Dining Facility Manager Inspections for discrepancy corrections.
* Inspect all employees reporting to work for complete uniform requirements as prescribed in company rules.
* Assist in areas where needed, but not to the extent to limit monitoring the overall operation.
* Monitor service areas, dining room, ware-washing, and pot and pan areas prior to, during and after meals for correct techniques, cleaning schedules and tasks.
* Provide support and training to identify individuals in need of specific rehabilitation training, accommodation, or assistance to adequately perform the Dining Facility Attendant duties.
Additional Responsibilities
* Ensure serving lines, cold bars, salad bars, pastry cabinets, condiments, juice dispensers, and dining rooms are set up. Unlock doors, safes, storage, and supply cabinets and secure same for each particular shift.
* Notify supervisor immediately of malfunctioning, inoperative, unsafe, or hazardous equipment cleaned or used by contract personnel.
* Receive and pass on all information to subordinate staff pertinent to job performance.
* Utilize available manpower to the fullest extent during peak hours and employee breaks.
* Assign employee breaks at and replaces absent employees for their particular shift. Issue supplies and cleaning materials to subordinate staff.
* Perform and document vocational skill assessments, job coaching, and follow along services.
* Complete, in a timely manner, all reports necessary to document vocational/rehabilitation services and case notes and incident reports where required.
* Act as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to provide input regarding vocational support needs.
* Complete schedules for the Dining Facility Attendants in a timely manner.
* Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)
* High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.
* At least two years' experience in supervising a cafeteria or multi-full food service facility required.
* Must have attended and obtained a certification from an approved sanitation program required.
* Experience operating routine office machines preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
* An individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Knowledgeable in the following areas: sanitation, conducting training, security, food preparation, customer relations, menu selection, safety and accident prevention, equipment maintenance.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
* Ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office software.
