Reports to (Title): Applications Manager
Brief Summary of Position:
Uses technical knowledge of microwave theory to understand customer measurement and characterization challenges. Provides hands-on demonstrations with MMC device characterization systems to show solutions. Suggests software and hardware improvements, ensuring all customer inputs are properly analyzed and dispositioned. Writes and debugs instrument drivers, and provides technical support. Keeps current with and provides guidance on the state-of-the-art and on industry trends of the device characterization field.
Essential Duties of the Position:• Provide timely technical support to customers.• Evaluate functionality and quality of MMC products thru final validation.• Execute product demonstrations, installations and training at MMC and customer sites.• Support sales in understanding device characterization customer needs and requirements to facilitate the proposal of complete customer solutions.• Code instrument drivers for customer equipment.• Provide guidance on all aspects of measurement science to internal and external customers.• Provide guidance to Senior Management on industry trends in the device characterization field state-of-the-art and keep current with device characterization trends.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.• Master-degree in electronic engineering• Domestic and international travel• Understanding of microwave network theory, analog/digital communication theory, and solid-state device theory.• Understanding of power amplifier design and Load Pull measurements for noise or power.• Experience using Matlab, Python and C/C++.• Familiarity with the operation of vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector signal analyzer, and other modern test and measurement equipment.• Experience in test and measurement instrument programming.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
