THE ROLEWe are the Video Cloud group, building next generation collaborative video editing solutions and workflows. We are enabling customers of Adobe's video apps (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder) to connect and create collaboratively across the world by using new cloud-based services and solutions. Our tools are used by Hollywood, major news outlets, social media influencers (YouTube / Instagram), and content creatives all over the world.

WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a senior software engineer of the Cloud Video team, be responsible for crafting and improving our world class technology stack to deliver cloud-connected, collaborative video editing and media management solutions. Build new features and services for Premiere Pro, After Effects and other creative apps. This particular role is focused on building a new cloud-connected media synchronization solution to enable fast, reliable collaborative access within our creative apps. Work closely with a senior team of engineers, developers, designers and product managers who live and breath all things video and cloud. This is a phenomenal opportunity to learn from, and contribute to, an outstanding group of hardworking video professionals. Having a passion for understanding and creating modern software architectures with a quality first approach is key for this role. Specific areas of ownership and opportunity include:Deliver new media collaboration features using C++ for the Mac and Windows platformsDesign and implement solutions that integrate with a host of cloud services and capabilitiesDemonstrate knowledge and experience in designing and building complex database driven, collaborative features and servicesResponsible for solving problems that arise and to continually improve and enhance the system and product qualityObliterate performance limitations and institute optimized algorithms for effective design improvements.Work hand-in-hand with senior engineers, experience designers and product managers to build the right set of features for our customers.WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Undergraduate and/or Graduate degrees in Computer Science & Engineering disciplinesPassion for problem solving and understanding complex systemsInterest in developing solutions to ensure we deliver nothing but the best user experiences and qualityA minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a software engineerDeep knowledge of C++Experience integrating with REST APIs is a plusExperience developing applications for Mac and/or Windows is requiredExposure to and experience with video editing software is a plusFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologiesComfortable asking questions and seeking advice, working collaboratively

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $173,300 -- $312,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
